SM City Naga join hands with the Bureau of Fire Protection in the 2nd nationwide 2023 Fire Drill held on Monday, July 31.

The fire drill was conducted before the mall opened and was participated by mall employees, tenants, affiliates and agency personnel.

A scenario was presented where a short circuit happened in one of the tenants in Food court, causing a fire injuring three people.

The SM Emergency Response Group led by Assistant Mall Manager Vincent Señora quickly organized the Fire Brigade Team to handle the emergency while the SM ERG immediately conducted rescue operations, evacuated persons, and cleared the impacted area.

The SM Fire Brigade Team also showed their fire fighting skills in putting out fires with the use of fire hose and extinguishers, while observed by BFP Senior Fire Marshall Restituto Dait.

The Public Private Partnership of SM and BFP give priority to the constant training of SM’s personnel to respond to disasters including earthquakes and destructive fires. This will help ensure the safety of SM’s stakeholders including customers, tenants, employees and the general public.
